Chase Delphi Recruitment have an immediate requirement for an experienced Payroll Administrator to work with their Successful, expanding Payroll Bureau client based in North Somerset. The client is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their small, friendly, professional team helping provide online services to SME's.

The Payroll Administrator will support the Payroll Manager and have a full understanding of all aspects of PAYE. Responsible for processing client payrolls using their cloud based BrightPay software.

Ideally with Bureau experience, the successful candidate will have previous knowledge and experience of working in a fast-paced payroll department and will be able to deal with payroll and auto enrolment queries.

Duties of the Payroll Administrator

· Set up new PAYE Schemes with HMRC

· Client and employee set up in payroll software

· Process allocated payrolls ready to be approved by the client

· Once signed off and instructed by payroll manager completing the submission of FPS and EPS to HMRC

· Assist with pension contribution uploads

· Maintain Monthly Payroll Tracker

· Ensure all payroll-based compliance activities and clients-based deadlines are achieved on weekly, fortnightly and monthly cycles

· Process weekly and monthly CIS

· Administer auto-enrolment on behalf of the client both with staging and ongoing reporting requirements to include set up of AE Pension schemes, tracking employers staging dates and actioning opting notices

· Support and assist in maintaining the office administration to include answering the phone, emails and maintaining the CRM and filing systems

Experience & Qualifications required:

· A minimum of 2 years payroll experience with a strong understanding of PAYE, NIC, Statutory Payments, Expenses and Benefits, CJRS calculations, Auto Enrolment and CIS

· Start to end experience of payroll journey

· Comprehensive knowledge of various payroll software in particular BrightPay

· Desirable CIPP membership and qualifications

Person Specification:

· Excellent numeracy and communication skills to be able to respond to employer inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns

· Attention to detail with a flair for problem solving

· Capable of manual payroll calculations

· Experience in furlough calculations and a full understanding of the furlough scheme

· Knowledge of salary sacrifice, payrolling benefits, P11ds

· Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality

· Maintain compliance policies and procedures for processing payroll checks

· Ability to process functions and formulas in Microsoft Excel

· Familiar and current with the taxation of salaries, benefits, and other factors

· Process and monitor garnishee orders and other issues that may impact payroll specifications
Knowledge of a variety of payroll software familiarity with BrightPay would be preferred
